Small Pannier rescues failed diesel

5786 got stuck down the line when the diesel failed so I took the opertunity to shoot her in the evening sun at Hood Bridge, Riverfood.

Steaming gently the main inlet valves, there is one for each end of the cylinder as there are on the exhaulst side, thus four valves in total for each cylinder

This operates trip gear that release the drop valves at varying points of its stoke to keep the engine at a constant speed
